Kazakhstan 0-0 Norway: Haaland fires a blank in Nations League opener

Norway started their Nations League campaign with a goalless draw away to Kazakhstan in Group C4 on Saturday.

Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, was unable to score in the Group C4 League B clash in Nur-Sultan.

Haaland had a quiet afternoon in front of goal, failing to register a single shot on target in the match.

Norway dominated the game but we’re unable to find a way past Kazakhstan goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov.

The visitors had 76% of the possession and 15 shots to Kazakhstan's one, but they could not find a breakthrough.

Pokatilov made several fine saves to deny Norway, including a brilliant stop from Haaland in the second half.

The draw leaves Norway third in the group after one game, behind leaders Slovenia and second-placed Serbia.

Norway will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Serbia in Oslo, while Kazakhstan travel to Slovenia.
