Every Championship Manager of the 2023/24 Season Ranked by How Long They Have Been in Charge

Seven Championship Clubs Will Be Going into the 2023/24 with New Managers Including Three Teams Down from the Premier League

The 2023/24 Championship season is set to get underway on Friday night, and there will be a number of new faces in the dugout. Seven clubs have made a change of manager over the summer, including three teams who were relegated from the Premier League.

Here is a ranking of every Championship manager based on how long they have been in charge of their current club:

1. Chris Wilder (Watford) - Date of Appointment: 8 May 2023

Wilder is the longest-serving manager in the Championship, having been in charge of Watford since May 2023. He led the Hornets to promotion from League One in his first season, and they will be hoping to challenge for a top-six finish this time around.

2. Valérien Ismaël (Cardiff City) - Date of Appointment: 10 May 2023

Ismaël is another manager who has been in charge of his club for over a year, having been appointed by Cardiff City in May 2023. He guided the Bluebirds to a 18th-place finish in the Championship last season, and he will be hoping to improve on that this time around.

3. Sabri Lamouchi (Queens Park Rangers) - Date of Appointment: 20 October 2022

Lamouchi is the third-longest-serving manager in the Championship, having been in charge of Queens Park Rangers since October 2022. He led the Hoops to a 11th-place finish in the Championship last season, and he will be hoping to guide them to a top-half finish this time around.

4. Mark Warburton (Queens Park Rangers) - Date of Appointment: 1 June 2022

Warburton is the fourth-longest-serving manager in the Championship, having been in charge of Queens Park Rangers since June 2022. He led the Hoops to a 11th-place finish in the Championship last season, and he will be hoping to guide them to a top-half finish this time around.

5. Sean Dyche (Burnley) - Date of Appointment: 28 October 2022

Dyche is the fifth-longest-serving manager in the Championship, having been in charge of Burnley since October 2022. He was unable to prevent Burnley from being relegated from the Premier League, but he will be hoping to guide them straight back up this time around.
